Popsugar Entertainment Mary Poppins Returns Mary Poppins Returns Soundtrack The First 2 Songs From Mary Poppins Returns Are Sweeter Than a Spoonful of Sugar 27 November 2018 by Kelsie Gibson Image Source: Disney We have a strong feeling that Mary Poppins Returns is going to be just as supercalifragilisticexpialidocious as the original. The first look at Emily Blunt as the lovable nanny was practically perfect in every way, the trailers have turned us into an emotional mess, and now the music has filled our hearts with glee. On Nov. 26, Disney gave fans the first glimpse of the soundtrack, and it's making us supernostalgic. The first track, "The Place Where Lost Things Go," sung by Emily Blunt, is reminiscent of "Stay Awake" from the original, while "Trip a Little Light Fantastic" by Lin-Manuel Miranda sounds a lot like the classic chimney sweeps number "Step in Time." The full soundtrack doesn't come out until Dec. 7, but in the meantime, you can get lost in the magical numbers ahead.
