Lennie James Says of Save Me: "It Was Always My Intention For It to Be a Returning Series"

PARK CITY, UT - JANUARY 19: Actor Lennie James attends the 2018 Sundance Film Festival Official Kickoff Party

If you've been working your way through Sky Atlantic's gripping new show Save Me, you'll no doubt be wondering whether the dark drama will be back for a second series. The six episodes of season one were released as a box set as soon as the first episode aired, so whether you're still catching up or you already know the outcome of the mystery, we don't blame you if you're chomping at the bit for more tales from the regulars at the Palm Tree.

Save Me's first season tells the story of Nelson "Nelly" Rowe, who finds himself a suspect when his estranged daughter goes missing. The all-star cast includes Doctor Foster star Suranne Jones, This Is England's Stephen Graham, and The Walking Dead's Lennie James, who also created and wrote the compelling series.

The goods news for fans is that James confirmed this was not meant to be a one-off, telling The Express, "Whatever happens at the end of the series, it was always my intention for it to be a returning series."

It seems highly likely, given the success of the show and the hype surrounding the first series, that Sky will jump at the chance to continue the story. As soon as we know more, you'll be the first to know!
