Taylor Swift is back with new music, and I can barely contain my excitement. After teasing fans with a big announcement for the past 13 days, the singer finally dropped her new single titled "Me!" with Panic! at the Disco singer Brendon Urie. The music video, which Swift gave glimpses of in her cryptic Instagram posts, features the singer being unapologetically herself, cats and all!
"'Me!' is all about embracing individuality and owning it," Swift told Robin Roberts about the song during the NFL Draft ahead of the release. "With a pop song we had the ability to get a melody stuck in people's heads and we wanted to get a good one." Well, mission accomplished, Taylor! It certainly is a good one, and it will certainly be stuck in my head all week long.
And the fun doesn't end here! During Good Morning America on Friday, the singer will be making yet another big announcement. Perhaps a seventh album? In addition to changing her profile images and wearing new merchandise around NYC, the singer teased that her new wall mural in Nashville, TN, provides quite a few clues about her new music. And we all know that Taylor is pretty awesome at dropping clues. Perhaps this single is just the beginning of a new era.
