True Life Now: Obsessed With Being a Kardashian Trailer
MTV's True Life Is Back, and the Season Premiere Will Tackle a Common Celebrity Obsession
True Life is back for more modern tales. MTV is rebranding the respected docuseries, which first aired in 1998, as True Life/Now. The first episode will focus on the lengths three people will go to in order to look and live like the Kardashians — oftentimes to the detriment of their personal lives — as well as society's collective fascination with the famous family.
Though True Life really hits its stride in the early 2000s, the series has continued to release episodes in recent years, although with less consistency. Based on a recently released trailer for the forthcoming season, additional episodes will tackle social media, butt enhancement procedures, and other plastic surgery trends. The season kicks off with "Obsessed with Being a Kardashian" on Jan. 2 — watch the trailer above.
