Despite not appearing in a Hollywood blockbuster in quite some time, George Clooney's tequila business with pal Rande Gerber, Casamigos Tequila, was bought by British liquor conglomerate Diageo or $700 million up front, with the potential for an extra $300 million over the next decade. In other words, Clooney pulled in a pretax paycheck of $239 million between June 1, 2017 and June 1, 2018.
2. Dwayne Johnson
Dwayne Johnson might not have a wildly successful tequila company, but he's still doing pretty damn well for himself. The Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle actor banked $124 million over the last year. Although he's also a spokesman for companies like Under Armour, he credits social media with allowing him to negotiate for seven-figure paychecks. "Social media has become the most critical element of marketing a movie for me," Johnson told Forbes. "I have established a social media equity with an audience around the world that there's a value in what I'm delivering to them."
3. Robert Downey Jr.
Iron Man's Robert Downey Jr. took home $81 million, demanding an estimated $15 million up front for Spider-Man: Homecomeing and more than twice that for AVengers: Infinity War.

Adam Sandler not only performs at live comedy gigs that earn him six figures per appearance, but also signed a pretty sweet Netflix deal a few years back. He continues to reap the benefits of the comedies he writes, directs, and stars in for the streaming service, which went towards his $39.5 million paycheck this year.
