Britney Spears has a new song with rapper and producer Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas. On 17 July, Will.i.am shared a snippet of the track, titled "Mind Your Business," on Instagram, captioning it, "Uh oh!!! This summer is about to be hot!!!" In the clip, Will.i.am uses a cut of the duo's 2012 collab "Scream & Shout" to announce their forthcoming song: "You are now, now rockin' with Will.i.am and Britney, b*tch." Spears chimes in at the end and adds, "Mind your business, b*tch!" The new song was then released in full on 21 July.

The track is Spears's first release since she and Elton John debuted "Hold Me Closer" in August 2022. That track is a remix of his seminal 1971 hit "Tiny Dancer." John similarly collaborated with Dua Lipa on 2021's "Cold Heart (Pnau Remix)," which draws strongly from his 1972 song "Rocket Man."

Spears and Will.i.am's "Scream & Shout" collab hit No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart. Surely, the duo are hoping they have another hit on their hands with "Mind Your Business."

A few days before their collab's premiere, Will.i.am praised Spears in an interview on "CBS Mornings." "I've been a fan, friend and supporter of Britney throughout the years," he said, as per Variety. "Supporter as far as a person that goes out and listens to her music, a support as far as somebody that's there to help champion her through her times when she was fighting for her liberation. She is an amazing person."

"Mind Your Business" is the second song that Spears has released since her conservatorship ended in late 2021. Following that, she married husband Sam Asghari and is planning to release a memoir this Autumn, titled "The Woman in Me."

The singer shared on Instagram on 11 July, "I worked my ass off for this book. I had a lot of therapy to get this book done, so you guys better like it. If you don't like it, that's fine, too." Additionally, many of Spears's best-known songs are featured in the current Broadway musical "Once Upon a One More Time."
