Kelly Clarkson Covers Selena Gomez's Tender Self-Love Anthem, "Lose You to Love Me"

There's no doubt that we love when Kelly Clarkson puts on a rocking show for her "Kellyoke" segment on The Kelly Clarkson Show, but the intimate moments are just as great. The daytime host turned down the volume for her rendition of Selena Gomez's "Lose You to Love Me," and it was absolutely lovely. The single, which became Gomez's first song to go number one on the Billboard Music 100, is just as raw and beautiful coming from the American Idol winner, reminding us of her more emotional hits like "Pieces of Me."

The two singers got to sit down and chat when Gomez made an appearance on Clarkson's show, and the 26-year-old artist opened up about how she uses music as a way to express herself, even if there are people who "may not think I'm the greatest singer." Never one to let someone put themselves down, Clarkson reminded Gomez that music isn't just about ability, but about impact. "From a singer to a singer, it's beautiful what you do," she told Gomez. "I love singing your music. It means something and it moves people. So don't ever negate your gift — because it's powerful."
