Lewis Capaldi was tasked with bringing the power ballad vibes to the BRIT Awards on Tuesday night and, of course, he delivered. Capaldi was nominated for four awards this evening, and won his first-ever BRIT Award for best new artist, so he's definitely had a big night.
Capaldi chose to perform his smash hit "Someone You Loved" on the night, which, until recently, was rumoured to have been written about Love Island contestant Paige Turley, who is also his ex-girlfriend. However, he put those rumours to rest quickly in an interview with [V] Australia, saying the song was actually written about his late grandmother.
Capaldi's next round of live shows kicks off in Manchester on March 8, and tonight was a little taste of exactly what we can all expect from his tour. Check out the full performance above.
