Britney Spears Reacts to Millie Bobby Brown's Biopic Comment

Britney Spears Seems to React to Millie Bobby Brown Saying She Wants to Play Her: "Dude I’m Not Dead"

Britney Spears has appeared to react to Millie Bobby Brown recently saying she'd love to play the popstar in a biopic of her life one day. Taking to Instagram on 8 Nov., just a few hours after Brown's interview on "The Drew Barrymore Show" aired, Spears posted a photo of a door accompanied by a lengthy caption about her family and the lack of freedom she experienced during her conservatorship. In the middle of the caption, she writes, "I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life … dude I'm not dead !!!"

Brown, who has already had a hugely successful career with roles in "Stranger Things" and "Enola Holmes", is still saying "Gimme More" to the industry. The actor revealed that she has her sights set on playing Britney Spears, and hopes one day the opportunity might arise. Although if Spears's recent post is anything to go by, this doesn't seem likely.

Speaking on 7 Nov., the 18-year-old was asked what roles are on her bucket list. "I want to play a real person and I think, for me, Britney. Britney Spears," she told Barrymore. "I think her story, first of all, resonates with me. Just growing up in the public eye, watching her videos, watching interviews of her when she was younger . . . I see the scramble for words and I don't know her, but when I look at pictures of her I feel like I could tell her story in the right way."

While Spears doesn't specifically mention Brown's comments, it does seem like quite the coincidence for the singer to write this in the caption so soon after the interview was shown on TV. After having been controlled under her highly-publicised conservatorship for 13 years, it's no wonder that she wants to keep autonomy over her life. Although, Brown's desire to play the singer also seemed to be an innocent quip about her future career ambitions, with no malice intended.

Brown has been teasing some other new projects lately, hinting at a musical collaboration with Mariah Carey and studying for a human services degree at Purdue University. She also opened up to Barrymore about what gives her the "ick" in relationships and, bizarrely, it's men holding umbrellas. "Don't hold my umbrella, I can hold my own," she said. We now know this is something we won't see her boyfriend, Jake Bongiovi, carrying any time soon!
