The main character, Daisy Jones, goes from a Penny Lane-esque band groupie to lead singer of an existing group — and yes, drama ensues. The complex and layered story gives an exciting look into the world of sex, drugs, and rock and roll and calls to mind the experiences of legendary real-life groups like Fleetwood Mac.
In addition to having a gripping, readable story, "Daisy Jones & the Six" also features original songwriting by the author herself — and THR reports that Amazon "will distribute original music from the series."
