As exciting as the prospect of talking walkers might be, it's more likely that there's another threat causing the strange behaviours among the hordes. We've been waiting all season for signs of the show's next big bad, the Whisperers, and it looks like we're finally getting it. For those who don't know, the Whisperers are a deadly group of survivors who cover themselves in the skin of the dead, which allows them to walk among walkers undetected. It also makes them incredibly hard to spot, allowing them the freedom to sneak up on other people quite easily. So the most logical explanation behind the talking walkers is that they're actually Whisperers using their handy disguises to spy. Considering how much damage the Whisperers wreak on the folks of Hilltop, Alexandria, and the Kingdom, it's safe to say we're going from one bad time to another.
