Charlie Kagan (played by Dane Cook) has always been painfully unlucky with love, and when he finds out that every single one of his exes found the love of their lives immediately after their breakup, he assumes his life couldn't get any worse. Soon after, though, it does, as his reputation starts to spread around town, and women flock to him for all the wrong reasons. That is, until Cam Wexler (played by Jessica Alba) shows up.
