102 Dalmatians (2000)
Yup, 101 Dalmatians had a remake . . . which had a sequel. (More on the first one later.) Glenn Close reprised her role as Cruella de Vil, who's now out of prison and trying to be good again, "trying" being the operative word. While any movie with Close and puppies in it can't be irreparably bad, the film didn't do much for critics. It received a 31 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes, where the critics consensus reads, "This sequel to the live-action 101 Dalmatians is simply more of the same. Critics say it also drags in parts, potentially boring children, and that it's too violent for a G-rated movie." The important thing, at least for financiers, is that it did at the box office how you'd think a Disney movie would do, making $183.6 million on an $85 million budget.
