Teenage sleuth Veronica isn't just sniffing out mysteries for fun: she's a girl on a mission. After her best friend is murdered and Veronica herself is assaulted, she sets out to find the people responsible, learning more about the dark secrets of her town's wealthy and powerful. Even while solving dark crimes, though, Veronica has plenty of time for other high school stuff, like dealing with mean girls and winding up in a love triangle with her privileged ex and the school's smart-aleck bad boy.
