Once again, Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) is putting out fires left and right at Savoir — mostly because of high-brow fashion designer Pierre Cadault. While in Saint Tropez, Emily runs into Sylvie fooling around with the Laurent G beach club owner, who Sylvie reveals is her husband of over 20 years. They have an open relationship, which is why Sylvie is free to take up a Parisian lover (Erik, the photographer).
Things get messy when Madeline, Emily's boss from the Gilbert Group makes a surprise visit and flips Savoir's — aka Sylvie's — way of conducting business upside down. When Madeline learns how Sylvie compensates her clients (and vice versa), it's the final straw. However, Sylvie beats her to the punch and announces that not only is she resigning, but she's launching her own luxury marketing firm. To do so, she sold her shares of Laurent G beach club to her husband and is taking the whole team with her — including Emily, if she accepts.
