"Wuthering Heights" by Kate Bush

"Wuthering Heights" was Bush's breakout single, the debut track from her 1978 album "The Kick Inside." Bush wrote the song at the age of 18, but she was a veteran songwriter by then, having written over 100 songs by the time she was discovered by Pink Floyd's David Gilmour after he heard a demo she recorded at the age of 16. The song made history by becoming the first single written and recorded by a female artist to hit the top of the British charts.
