Aquaman Faces Off Against His Biggest Foe in the New "Lost Kingdom" Trailer
5
The future of Aquaman is very much up in the air. Peter Safran and James Gunn took over the DC Universe — and DC Studios — last fall, and when they announced their slate of DC movies and TV shows earlier this year, no Aquauman project was included. The duo said at the time that they were open to any current DC actors returning as their characters — including Momoa.
But for his part, Momoa is pretty certain there will be more Aquaman in the new DCU. He told Total Film in March, "Peter [Safran]'s my producer [on Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom], and is a dear friend. I absolutely think Aquaman will be involved in the DCU. It's on, bro – there's no one bigger than Aquaman!"
