Michelle Keegan ("Our Girl", "Coronation Street") will be back on our screens. Starring alongside Faye Marsay ("Black Mirror") and Warren Brown ("The Responder"), Keegan leads the new original BBC drama "Ten Pound Poms".
A coproduction between the UK and Australia, "Ten Pound Poms" "follows a group of Brits as they leave post-war Britain in 1956 to embark on a life-altering adventure on the other side of the world. For only a tenner, they have been promised a better house, better job prospects, and a better quality of life in sun soaked Australia."
Marsay and Brown play the Roberts, a couple who try to make the best of their situation, but struggle with the poor living conditions at the migrant hostel. Meanwhile, Keegan plays Kate, a young nurse who arrives in the country without her fiancé, and is desperate to rewrite a devastating past.
"Ten Pound Poms" is expected to air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer later in 2023.
