Starring as the other option in the love triangle is Matthew Broome, playing Guy Thwarte, who is positioned as Nan's intellectual equal, and overall soulmate. Thwarte is The Duke of Tintagel's close friend, but things are set to get tense as the pair both vye for the heart of Nan. Broome's charm has a distinct British awkwardness to it, and he is poised to go down in romantic lead history with this role.
Like Remmers, "The Buccaneers" marks Broome's breakout role. In fact, it's his first on-screen professional credit, following a number of roles on stage in plays including "Scandaltown" and "A Comedy of Errors." It's not known if he's single or taken, but we have a feeling his name is about to be catapulted to the spotlight.
