Adam Driver Transforms Into an '80s Dad in the Trailer For "White Noise"

"White Noise" stars Driver and Gerwig as the heads of the Gladney family. Other academics at the college where Driver works are played by Cheadle, Turner-Smith, and André Benjamin. The Gladney kids are played by Sam and May Nivola and Raffey Cassidy.

"White Noise" is premiering at the Venice Film Festival and will also play at the New York Film Festival this autumn. Netflix will release the film in cinemas before making "White Noise" available to stream sometime before the end of the year.

"White Noise" is based on the 1985 novel by DeLillo of the same name. Netflix's plot description reads, "At once hilarious and horrifying, lyrical and absurd, ordinary and apocalyptic, White Noise dramatises a contemporary American family's attempts to deal with the mundane conflicts of everyday life while grappling with the universal mysteries of love, death, and the possibility of happiness in an uncertain world." Driver's character, Jack Gladney, is a professor at the fictional College-on-the-Hill. Gerwig plays his wife, Babette.
