When Carole Middleton stepped out for day nine of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships at All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, we had to do a double take. Was she wearing the same dress her daughter Kate had worn just days before? But no, Carole's $198 Scotch & Soda design has just a slightly different print from the Sandro one the duchess wore to Hampton Court Palace for a special preview of the annual Garden Festival. But Kate looked stunning in that Summer dress, and the world took notice. Is it possible that Carole, who has a clear resemblance to her daughter, tried the same style out of sheer admiration for Kate's sophisticated taste?

While the Duchess wore Castañer espadrille wedges to complete her look, Carole rocked suede peep-toe slingbacks for her own event, finishing her outfit with pearl drop earrings (Kate wears those all the time, too!), a pendant necklace, a sun hat, a blush leather tote, and Ray-Ban sunglasses (erm, Kate just rocked her own pair at Wimbledon!). Like mother like daughter, eh? Ahead, see Carole and Kate wearing very similar midis, then shop the style if you agree with the Middleton women: lovely patterns in shades of green are just right for the season.
