I have a hard time finding flats that don't dig into my heels or give me blisters. As a shopping editor, I always opt for the stylish pairs, but I'd love a design that's comfy, too. My interest was piqued when Birdies released its new Fall line filled with luxe materials and classic silhouettes. Would the brand truly live up to its hype? Spoiler alert: I'm obsessed.

This is not a drill: when it comes to comfort, I'd rather wear these mules than sneakers.

As soon as I slipped into the Birdies Phoebe Mules ($120) at the POPSUGAR offices, all the editors around me were "oohing" and "ahhing." Of course, they're stunning shoes, but what truly impresses me is how comfortable they are. The quilted satin soles are like little pillows of joy for your feet. This is not a drill: when it comes to comfort, I'd rather wear these mules than sneakers.

I'm telling you honestly, these well-made flats are worth every penny. I'm already contemplating my next pair. I appreciate that they're effortless enough to wear around the house but chic enough to rock for a party. Did I mention Meghan Markle wears the loafer style on the regular? Yep, they're royal-approved. Read on for a closer look at my pair, then consider some new shoes for yourself.
