Carlacia Grant Shares Her Must Haves: From Cool-Girl Jeans to Pink Coconut Water

Carlacia Grant is a breakout star of "Outer Banks," and her experiences filming on set are as fun as you'd expect. "My job is to go and hang out with my friends and do something I love to do. And Cleo's just really such a fun character to play because she's literally the opposite of me. I'm like this girly girl, and Cleo's a cowboy. So I love that it gets me to stretch my instrument and stretch my craft and live in another person's body for a while," Grant tells POPSUGAR.
As an official Pogue in season three, Cleo joins the team in finally finding the treasure and develops a budding relationship with Pope along the way. In season four, Grant hopes to see more of Cleo's backstory told and also wants her character to fight Rafe Cameron one on one. "Like, I just want us to go at it," Grant says.
Just like Cleo, Grant has an effortless, cool-girl style — hence why both E.l.f. Cosmetics and American Eagle crowned her the "belfie queen" for their E.l.f. X AE collaboration. Pointing out that it's all about the angle, she recommends "placing the camera below your waist, lower the better, and when you're doing it, the leg that's furthest away from the camera, bend it so you get a nice angle. Also, just look back over the shoulder. Two birds, one stone, selfie, belfie all at once."

Grant loves sipping on a chilled Harmless Harvest Organic Coconut Water ($50) because it makes her feel invincible and refreshed. "I feel like Rihanna, truthfully," she says. What made Grant turn to Harmless Harvest is the lovely light-pink colour, which is naturally occurring, plus it's organic with no extra ingredients. "I feel like when I really need extra, extra, extra hydration, I love to have a coconut water because you get potassium and vitamin C, and it's just refreshing," Grant says. Carlacia Grant's Morning-Routine Must Have

Although it's got an array of blues, browns, and neutrals, Grant says it's beginner friendly and easy to use. "If I'm just going to a cute lunch, I might go for Corduroy [darker brown shade] and have that over my eyelids because the perfect shade of brown, it doesn't pop too much. I can go for a really natural look. But if I feel like I'm going out on the town or I'm stepping out, and I just want to be on some deep, deep energy, then I'm going to go for like OOTD [navy blue shade]," she says.
Pro Tip: Grant likes to use some of the deeper and darker shades as liners as well. "I love a good wing. So what I do, because I cannot draw on a straight line, I take scotch tape and I tape it where my eyeshadow is, and then I'll do my concealer and all that stuff. But when you rip off the tape, it comes out in a perfect line," she says.
Carlacia Grant's Relaxing Must Have
Grant takes a relaxing bath at least three times a week, and an integral part of her bath-time routine is Dr Teal's Epsom Salt Soaking Solution in Lavender ($6, originally $9). "Epsom salt has a lot of healing properties. So especially when I'm filming, we are doing a lot of stunts, so I get a lot of bruises. Also, I have acid reflux. So it just helps settle your body. Believe it or not, the salt, sitting in it helps regain all lost properties," she says.
It's her time to meditate and also get her skin care done at the same time. "I do a whole thing. I light candles, I have music playing in the background, the lavender is my favourite because it's really relaxing and calming," she says.
Pro Tip: Grant loves setting the vibe with calming, spa-inspired music. "I'm usually going to play Chinese flute music, something really quiet. I don't want to have lyrics pumping through. I just want to be in a chill vibe," she says.
Carlacia Grant's Must-Have Pair of Jeans
Grant loves the versatility of the AE Dreamy Drape Super High-Waisted Baggy Wide-Leg Jean ($45, originally $60); you can dress them up or down with either stylish sneakers or heels. "I will wear them with a white tank top or a T-shirt, really, really tight though because the jeans are kind of like baggy . . . If I wanted to go to a cute dinner with them, I could just put on a sparkly halter top, and now they're dressed up," she says.
These jeans have a high waistline with a slouchy fit. With the unfinished, ripped hems at the bottom, they're the ultimate cool-girl jeans. You can get these jeans in a dark-wash blue or a standard blue wash. Grant also loves sporting mom jeans, bell bottoms, and even skinny jeans, claiming they're back!
