Kendall Jenner's Naked Dress Comes With Floral Nipple Pasties
Naked dresses have a regular rotation in Kendall Jenner's wardrobe, but her latest iteration still managed to surprise us all. During an evening out on the French Riviera on 31 May, the model and 818 Tequila founder wore a black David Koma minidress featuring a sheer bust topped with bright red floral pasties.
The corset-style number also came with a red lightweight scarf that swung behind her as she posed for photos on a boat. Koma is known for creating head-turning designs like Jenner's, having outfitted celebrities like Beyoncé, Megan Fox, and Keke Palmer in edgy dresses with thigh-high slits, form-fitting silhouettes, and a multitude of cutouts. With help from her stylist and friend Dani Michelle, Jenner paired her striking dress with cool black pumps from Bottega Veneta.
Though not quite as ubiquitous as other sexy fashion trends, luxury pasties have been picking up steam since 2022. Lady Gaga kicked things off at the Critics' Choice Awards last March, wearing a custom Gucci ensemble with black pasties, a lace shrug, and a yellow sequinned skirt. Doja Cat tried out the trend for size a few months later at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, where she walked the red carpet in a sculptural Schiaparelli look featuring gold pasties under a transparent bodice.
While Jenner's recent look is unexpected, she's frequently experimented with sultry, revealing trends like cutouts, see-through looks, and string thongkinis. At the Met Gala in May, she went trouserless in a sequinned Marc Jacobs bodysuit, changing into a sheer romper with a thong on top for the afterparties that followed.
