The category was prom night at film director Nneka Onuorah's birthday party on 16 April, and Megan Thee Stallion arrived looking completely bedazzled in a rhinestone naked dress by Rey Ortiz. In a video posted to her TikTok account the following day, Megan showed off the glittering gown while dancing to Beyoncé's "Cuff It." Her beauty team completed the ensemble with crystal-embellished nails, silver eyeshadow, and voluminous curls in a strawberry brunette shade.
The custom couture gown featured a halter neckline and an asymmetrical bodice adorned with rhinestone swirls. The fabric split at the midriff just below the bust, forming a massive cutout that wrapped around the entire waist. At the back, a bejewelled band and rhinestone-studded spaghetti straps provided support for the figure-hugging ensemble. On Megan's left side, the bralette and skirt were affixed with a shimmering flower petal, with similar embroidery continuing across her hips. The "Sweetest Pie" singer's sheer skirt also featured a revealing thigh slit on the right, putting her legs on full display as she showed off her dance moves.
Ortiz shared a side-by-side on his own account of Megan wearing the dress, along with it fashioned on the mannequin, dropping credit to stylist Zerina Akers for bringing the look to life. "Oh hey @theestallion in #custom @fashionbyreyortiz for the one and only boss @zerinaakers," he wrote.
Last month, Megan sported another custom outfit while attending The Hollywood Reporter's Power Stylists Dinner in LA on 28 March. For the special occasion, she wore a replica of a runway look from Paco Rabanne's spring/summer 1997 RTW collection. Law Roach styled the outfit, designed by Julien Dossena, with peep-toe sandals and Loewe jewellery. On 15 March, she also shared photos of herself wearing a series of sultry swimsuits during a tropical holiday.
