Chunkier settings are officially dominating the engagement-ring market. And the overwhelming majority of chunky styles fall into this ring territory.
Originally designed to prevent gypsies from stealing the stones in the early 19th century, gypsy rings call for stones to be set into the gold. Jewellery designer Brent Neale is leading the charge when it comes to the trend, with shoppers either buying the style outright or resetting their stones in chunkier settings.
