Buckle up, reader, because we're about to take you on a wild ride down the highway to hell. In honour of good ol' #ThrowbackThursday, we're taking it way back to the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where the Australian synchronised swimming team paid tribute to AC/DC with a legendary routine set to music by the rock band. We know, we know — 2012 was a whole six years ago, but their performance was so iconic, we simply couldn't resist bringing it back to the light of day.

The talented eight-woman team began their routine by striking poses with the signature "rock on" hand gesture, and once the music began, they plunged into the pool (wearing swimsuits that had guitars on the back, might I add). They kicked their legs in sync, hurled their teammates into the air, and flipped underwater to the tune of AC/DC's hit songs "Thunderstruck" and "Back in Black," making for one unforgettable gig. If this doesn't motivate you to take your pool workouts to the next level, we're not quite sure what will. Watch the full video by clicking through to YouTube below, and then catch a glimpse of some impressive photos of the Australian athletes in motion.
