If you ever want a quick lesson on fitness, just follow Halle Berry's Instagram account. She loves fitness so much, she created a weekly series called "Fitness Friday" where she shares everything from what she eats in a day to her favourite workouts.

For today's #FitnessFriday post, Halle talked about one of the most popular styles of training: cardio. "For me, cardio is an essential part of my workout, and I believe that my fitness regime[n] is not complete with out," Halle said in her caption. She continued, explaining that cardio and heart health go hand in hand, and stated that other benefits she's experienced are:

  • Blood sugar control
  • Increased circulation causing clearer skin
  • Reduced fatigue and shortness of breath
  • Significant calorie burn
  • Increased sexual arousal

1. Jump Runners

Halle and her trainer, Peter, do a forward squat jump followed by runners (high knees moving backward) before returning to the starting position.

2. Jumping Jacks

Her second go-to move to elevate her heart rate is jumping jacks.

3. Running Man

The third move Halle shared is the running man, also know as high knees.
