Watch Golfer Jon Rahm Literally Bounce a Ball Over Water to Get a Hole in One

It's reportedly tradition during Masters practice rounds at the Augusta National Golf Club for players to drop down a ball at the 16th hole and skip it across the pond — and that's exactly what professional golfer Jon Rahm did in a pre-tournament run on Nov. 10 to get a hole in one. In an impressive video that is going all kinds of viral, Rahm skimmed a ball over the water, onto the green, and into the hole in one clean (but complex and dare we say impossible) shot. What makes it even better is that this took place on his birthday, no less!

The incredible shot seen in full above was actually Rahm's second hole in one in two days of pre-tournament practice. "You don't see people skipping it and actually hitting it on the green very often, and to make it to that back pin, clearly we were all pretty shocked," Rahm told The Augusta Chronicle. He came out fourth in the Masters two years ago, and this year's tournament, which was postponed due to COVID-19, starts on Thursday, Nov. 12 and runs through Nov. 15.
