Margzetta Frazier 2020 Floor Routine For UCLA

UCLA Gymnast Margzetta Frazier Makes Her 2020 Floor Routine Look Like a Dance Party

Margzetta Frazier is a sophomore collegiate gymnast for UCLA. She's also spent a number of years previously training and competing on the elite level, and is making a name for herself thanks to her one-of-a-kind performances on floor.

We loved Margzetta's floor routine from her freshman year at UCLA — a dynamite number inspired by voguing. But her newest routine for the 2020 season is full of flare, set to soul classics like "Get Up Offa That Thing" by James Brown and Chic's "Le Freak." Margzetta shows personality with fierce facial expressions to go along with her carefree dance moves and dramatic gestures to the crowd at the end as if she's thanking them for coming out. Oh, and there's also an epic jazz split!

Margzetta's routine features powerhouse tumbling, like her middle pass: a side summy into a round-off, two back handsprings, and a double backflip. She finishes with a double pike, and her opening pass is a full-twisting double backflip (that's two flips and one twist!).

In this particular competition, UCLA's home opener against Boise State on Jan. 12, Margzetta received a 9.950, 0.5 tenths shy of a perfect 10. We're dancing along just watching her routine because it really does feel like a party!
