Watch Nya Reed's Perfect-10 Floor Routine

Nya Reed Scored a Perfect 10 With Her Stellar Floor Routine

Nya Reed was one of two gymnasts from the University of Florida to receive perfect scores on floor over the weekend — Reed's 10.00 performance came before fellow Florida Gators senior Trinity Thomas also scored a 10.00 routine. This was Reed's first perfect 10 of her collegiate career — until now, her personal best was a 9.975 on floor.

Seen in full above, Reed's routine features dance-worthy music like "Get Ur Freak On" by Missy Elliott, Lil' Kim's "The Jump Off," DMX's "Party Up (Up in Here)," "Milkshake" by Kelis, and "Touch the Sky" by Kanye West feat. Lupe Fiasco. Reed told POPSUGAR that she wanted to include songs everyone could relate to so as to "hype up the crowd." Suffice to say, mission accomplished!

Reed's choreography is, without fail, always full of life and flair, and it's this showmanship and grade-A tumbling — a double layout, a front handspring front layout into a one-and-a-half front layout (aka a rudi), and a double pike — that made this particular performance shine. "I wanted people to know that this is who I am and this is my personality and I'm showing my personality through my floor routine," she said.

Reed is looking forward to achieving her goals this season, one of which was getting that 10.00, though she's also hoping to rack up even more perfect scores. Her final message? "Go Gators!"
