Adam Rippon, USA

One event in, and Rippon is already one of the darlings of the 2018 Olympics. A perennial "almost," he finally came into his own over the past three years, adding quadruple jumps to his repertoire and honing his exquisite artistry to stay competitive in a discipline increasingly dominated by young men with a seemingly endless ability to reel off quads. "Age is just a number," he quipped to NBC pre-Olympics, and it's a pretty great number for him, it seems.
