The fill is hyp-allergenic faux down and is moldable and squishy; it conforms to the shape of my head without feeling constricting or heavy. It's the perfect amount of comforting pressure. It makes me feel safe and secure, like the feeling I had as a little girl being tucked into bed by my mother. But it's not at all hot, so this is a great option if you find a weighted blanket makes you sweaty — it has the same soothing effect.
