Lateral Band Walks

  • Place a resistance band just above your knees. (Optional: hold your pet securely!)
  • Stand with your feet directly underneath your hips, and bend at the knees slightly.
  • Take a step sideways to the right as far as you can.
  • Actively resist the pull of the exercise band as you bring your left leg slowly toward your right. Then, take a step sideways to the left as far as you can and bring your right leg toward your left.
  • Alternate for 10 reps total.
