Barack Obama Visits Chicago Food Bank For Thanksgiving

Barack Obama Made Thanksgiving Meals at a Food Bank and Left Young Volunteers Awestruck

Former president Barack Obama showed gratitude this Thanksgiving by volunteering at the Greater Chicago Food Depository on Nov. 20. His turkey-pardoning days may be through, but he celebrated the giving season in a special way. In partnership with his nonprofit organisation, The Obama Foundation, the former president lent a helping hand to the food bank and gave his fellow volunteers something to smile about. "They do great work making sure those who aren't as fortunate are able to enjoy the kind of Thanksgiving meal that so many of us take for granted," he said of the food depository.

Obama's visit definitely left an impression on a few young volunteers. In an especially sweet moment, he hugged two girls before saying, "You guys are doing such a great job . . . I'm so proud of you." Check out the video below to see their full reaction to his praise; it's pretty priceless.
