As a child of the '90s, some of my most vivid Summer memories are strapping on a pair of rollerblades or buckling up my bike helmet and riding to the local convenience store. Armed with some pocket money or spare change that I found in the junk drawer in the kitchen, I'd stock up on some of my favourite candies and snacks. Wandering through those convenience store aisles and carefully making my selections, choosing between a handful of Warheads or an ice cream bar felt like the hardest decision in the world.
Looking back, these nostalgic snacks definitely weren't the healthiest options, but what's Summer for kids if not having a bit of freedom and enjoying yourself?
