Dogs on Ring Camera Rescuing Owner Having Stroke

Woman’s Security Camera Catches Her Dogs Running to Get Help While She Was Having a Stroke

A Florida woman owes her life to her two Labradors, Bella and Sadie. After collapsing in her home due to a blood clot that caused a stroke, Maureen Hatcher saw Sadie and asked her to get help — and thank goodness, because according to her doctor, Dr. Nima Aghaebrahim, it was likely what prevented permanent brain damage, or worse.

"I said, 'Mommy needs help,' and then they were gone," Maureen told First Coast News. The two dogs bolted from the house, which was caught on Maureen's Ring video doorbell camera, and signaled down a neighbour who then entered the house and called 911 after finding Maureen on the floor. Paramedics rushed Maureen to Baptist Medical Centre's comprehensive stroke centre, where her blood clot was removed and her life was saved.

"By rights, I shouldn't be in the shape that I'm in," Maureen said. "I am blessed . . . very blessed."

What good girls!
