Rider Switch works if a kid doesn't meet the height requirement for an attraction. Getting the pass is easy for families who need to use the service. You just need to locate a Disney Cast Member at the entrance of the attraction and let them know someone in your group won't be able to ride and you would like to use Rider Switch!
One parent or adult will wait with the kid who is unable to ride, while the rest of the group enjoys Space Mountain — or any of the other attractions that offer the service. When the group of people who rode on the attraction returns, the designated adult that sat out can go ride the attraction without having to wait in the regular stand-by line. The family member who waited is allowed to bring two other people with them to ride again, ensuring no one has to ride alone.
