Jamie Otis Pregnant September 2019

After "18 Long, Painful Months" and 2 Losses, Jamie Otis Is 4 Weeks Pregnant!

Married at First Sight's Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner are expecting again! The couple, who have been trying to conceive their second child together for 18 months and sadly suffered two miscarriages this year, announced the happy news on Sept. 7 after a visit to the fertility clinic.

"We went to the fertility specialist and found out WE ARE PREGNANT!!!" Jamie, who is due in May 2020, wrote on Instagram. "I cannot even believe it! After 18 long, painful months, two losses, and negative after negative on the pregnancy tests we are *finally* pregnant again! Of course I am being cautiously optimistic, but I have a feeling this little one is going to stick."

And in even more exciting news, she might be expecting twins! "The only thing is, yesterday the nurse called and said my blood work came back a bit different than anticipated," she wrote. "Based on my last period, I should be about 4 weeks along. The blood work to support this would look like this: progesterone 8-10 and HCG 50-300. My blood work came back like this: progesterone 51 and HCG 1,441 !!! This means that I'm either further along OR I could potentially have TWINS! (They said it's most likely I'm further along but I would absolutely love twins!)"

On Sept. 8, Jamie posted a bump photo featuring her 2-year-old daughter Henley reaching up to touch her growing belly and shared that she's started to feel pregnancy symptoms now. She also commented again on the possibility that this could be a twin pregnancy. "I am genuinely *SO THANKFUL* for all these symptoms bc that means this little poppy seed — or seeds — is growing!"

And while Jamie is grateful for her pregnancy, she knows that pregnancy news can be tough to see for other women who are trying to conceive. "If you're reading this and are currently in the process of [trying to conceive] — oh mama, my heart hurts for you," she wrote. "I know the instant internal pain that comes from another's pregnancy announcement even if you are, or at least want to be, happy for the lucky couple. I just want you to know that your rainbow will come too. The storm cant stay forever. Hold onto hope! I am thinking of you!"

Congratulations, Hehner family!
