In the midst of preparing for and celebrating Christmas, there is always a possibility that something will be forgotten. Maybe it's jar of spices needed for a special Christmas dinner, or perhaps it's a last-minute stocking stuffer for a loved one. Regardless of when or what you forget, you can be rest assured that there are a few stores open on Christmas Day. Read on to find out what holiday hours certain stores are running on during Christmas Day.

Grocery Stores

• Albertson's: On Christmas Day, Albertson's will be open from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
• Giant: The amount of Giant stores open on Christmas is limited, with some stores operating from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
• ACME: Acme Markets operate under reduced hours on Christmas day, and are up to the discretion of the store manager. Contact your local store for their hours of operation.
• Safeway: Some Safeway stores will be open on Christmas. Call your store to inquire about special holiday hours.

Major Chain Pharmacies

Just because it's Christmas doesn't mean that there is an exemption to getting sick or hurt. Whether its a common cold leaving you feeling under the weather, or you accidentally burned yourself handling hot dishes of food, you can count on these major chain pharmacies to have what you need.

• CVS: CVS is open from 8:00am to 9:00pm on Christmas Day. Note, this does exclude stores that are located in Target.
• Walgreens/Duane Reade: Typically, if a Walgreens or Duane Reade nearby is open 24/7, then Christmas Day is no exemption, and you can expect the same hours. Otherwise, stores with limited hours will be open from 8:00am to 6:00pm.
• Rite Aid: Most Rite Aid stores are open 24/7, check with your local store just in case.

Convenience Stores
