The curious case of how to eat while wearing lipstick without smudging it everywhere has been mystifying the masses since Lucille Ball jammed something like 20 chocolates into her mouth without a smear in sight. Since then, the number of tips and hacks on the internet has accumulated in spades, but Bella Hadid just let the world in on her own secret. On Wednesday, the model and Dior Beauty ambassador uploaded a video to her Instagram Stories, graciously demonstrating the correct way to eat pizza without fudging up your lipstick.
If you haven't seen the clip, fear not. The mini tutorial can be broken down into four cardinal steps:
- Pick a bright lipstick that's somehow glossy yet long-wearing. While Hadid's makeup artist Peter Philips has yet to share the winning formula, we'd venture to say hers is probably from Dior (the Dior Addict Lacquer Stick in Diabolo (£22, originally £26) or Dior Addict Lipstick Hydra-Gel Core Mirror Shine in Must Have (£29), perhaps?). Layer if necessary.
- Break apart bits of a pizza slice into one-inch sizes for easier access to your mouth.
- Eat said pizza while simultaneously puckering your lips in duck-like fashun.
- Repeat until fully devoured.
