Frank Body just released its Green Tease Green Tea Scrub ($20), and I, like many of Frank Body's followers, was excited to see a green-tea-based body scrub come from the brand — if you're not familiar, the brand is well-known for its scrubs made from coffee, with one even garnering a 90,000-person wait list.
I couldn't wait to test it, so as soon as I got the package, I lit some candles and hopped in the shower with it (don't worry, the pouch is totally waterproof). I began scooping handfuls and spreading it across my body, from my neck to my feet. The scrub is a gritty mixture of hydrating oils (coffee seed, avocado, and ginger root), sugar, roasted robusta grounds (which smooth and firm skin), and green tea leaves (which fight off free radicals). When I turned on the water, the crystals began to melt into a lightweight, slippery, ultracomforting oil blend that slicked across my body. It slipped off with ease and left my skin incredibly soft, without any residue.
Out of all of Frank Body's scrubs, this one is my favourite by far. Yes, it beats out the shimmer scrub (the one with the massive wait list) and even the brand's OG coffee scrub. It made my skin look incomparably brighter and tighter and left it with just the right amount of moisture. It smelled completely different from past scrubs — very earthy, but sweet like honey — which was calming.
Frank Body is predicting the scrub will sell out within the week, noting that the waiting list, which opened on Monday, had garnered over 5,000 sign-ups and that the launch is "extremely limited." But don't worry if it sells out before you nab your package — it will be launching at Ulta Beauty on Nov. 11.
