Popsugar Beauty Hair Haircuts For Round Faces 5 Haircuts That Will Look Fantastic on Round Faces 26 October 2018 by Sarah Siegel Image Source: Getty / Jason LaVeris While there's nothing wrong with having a round face (Chrissy Teigen has one, and she is basically a goddess), you might still want a hairstyle or cut that will flatter your face without making it appear wider. We reached out to Salon SCK hairstylist Devin Toth to find out how we can get the most flattering chop for fuller-cheeked faces. He explained that to create the appearance of a longer face, it's all about where the hair falls and creating asymmetry. "As long as the texture isn't most pronounced at the jawline and cheeks, it will balance the face," he said. If the curliest parts of your hair fall at the widest part of your face, it will add width to your facial appearance. Keep reading to see which styles Toth recommends. "The eye is drawn to the vertical lines of the hair, and the hair is literally covering up your cheeks on each side," Toth explained. 1 / 5 A Baby Fringe Image Source: Getty / Jamie McCarthy If you're looking for a fringe to solve your problems, try a baby one. "A soft, short fringe can actually open up the face and elongate it," Toth said. 2 / 5 Long Layers Image Source: Getty / Dominique Charriau Anyone who is attached to their long hair should consider adding layers. "A cascading layer that falls beneath the chin will appear diagonal, and the eye will follow it downward, which will create an elongated effect," he explained. 3 / 5 Asymmetrical Image Source: Getty / John Lamparski "Any style that has one side longer than the other will create an angle that distracts the eye from the width of the face," Toth explained. Anyone who wants an edgier style should try out an asymmetrical cut. 4 / 5 Asymmetrical Pixie Cut Image Source: Getty / Barry King Pixies are also a great and flattering idea, as long as your cut is longer on one side. 5 / 5 HairHaircutsBeauty TrendsBeauty How-ToHair TrendsBeauty InterviewCelebrity Hair
