AJ Crimson, renowned celebrity makeup artist and founder of his eponymous makeup line, has died, WWD confirms. The cause of death and his exact age is unknown.

Crimson, who is a self-taught makeup artist with more than two decades of experience to his name, is best known for his work with a long list of prestigious celebrity clients, including Brandy, Missy Elliot, Regina King, Angela Bassett, and more.

He's credited as a pioneer of inclusivity in the beauty industry.
