Let's face it, Anya Taylor-Joy is the master of manis. From her "rich girl" nails to her "chrome french" twist, she's become an oracle of nail inspo. And she wasn't about to let her standards drop at the 2023 BAFTAs on Sunday, 19 Feb. Taylor-Joy was pictured with a new must-copy style: the liquid bronze mani. While light-bouncing nails (otherwise known as glazed donut) are nothing new, spearheaded by Hailey Bieber, it was the liquid bronze hue that became an eye-catching accessory and a match made in heaven for the actor's outfit.
Taylor-Joy opted for a show-stopping Schiaparelli ensemble straight from the SS23 couture catwalk (following in Kylie Jenner's tiger head Paris Fashion Week footsteps) to match her nails. The strapless, structured, velvet minidress came complete with a duvet-like metallic cape, that she wore as a hooded blanket on the red carpet. Working with the bronze hue and taking it across her entire look, "The Queen's Gambit" star adopted the same shimmery brown hues for her eye makeup. It was the perfect palette of tonal colours to compliment her iconic platinum blonde hair, too. The look was wrapped up with a swoop of bronzer across her cheekbones.
And while beauty enthusiasts admired her chrome mani, other fans were totally blown away by her glamorous get-up. One tweeted, "one thing about Anya Taylor Joy: she will always serve".
