When it comes to hair care, I consider myself a person who's still in the process of, uh, figuring it all out. I love coming across new (and old) products that might be helpful in terms of nourishing my curls, and I'm not ashamed to admit that I've added many a product to my collection with the help of a few YouTube videos and some personal recommendations from experts. Still, there's nothing like stumbling upon a formula that's not only been personally recommended by a pro but is also one that stylists heavily rely on when it comes to natural hair.
We took a few tips from hairstylist Annagjid "Kee" Taylor — whose celebrity client list includes Tiffany Haddish, Keke Palmer, Tika Sumpter, and Nafessa Williams — to get a little input on which natural hair products she thinks you should add to your collection.
Nairobi Wrapp-It Shine Foaming Lotion
One of her biggest recommendations on natural hair? The Nairobi Wrapp-It Shine Foaming Lotion ($12). "With this product, you just wrap, set, and mold your hair into the desired style," she told POPSUGAR. "It saves dryer time, prevents hardening of hair, and gives [it] a silky sheen. I can pair it with any product on a natural style, and it works so well on my hair."
Aunt Jackie's Don't Shrink Flaxseed Elongating Curling Gel
Aunt Jackie's Don't Shrink Flaxseed Elongating Curling Gel ($6) is another one of Taylor's go-to products that she uses when she feels like stretching out her curls for some added length. Unlike other gels, this one is alcohol-free, meaning that it won't dry out your hair and/or make it feel hard or straw-like. "You can use a small amount on clean, dry hair, but I find it works best when used on clean, wet, or damp hair," she said. "You apply more for tighter curls and less for elongated curls."
Keira Ashley Hair + Scalp Cleanser
If you're a natural, your hair and scalp are both very likely to accumulate lots of buildup, for which Taylor recommends using Keira Ashley Hair + Scalp Cleanser ($45). "This cleansing oil clarifies and moisturises all in one," she said. "It's got multiple benefits all in one: it reduces scalp irritation, dry scalp, psoriasis; it stimulates hair growth and prevents hair loss, and it strengthens and reduces breakage."

If you're on the hunt for something that'll keep your hair looking sleek and shiny after blowing it out or straightening it, Taylor recommends the Deeper Than Hair Satin Shield Serum ($40). This is one of many products that Taylor uses heavily at her Philadelphia-based salon, Deeper Than Hair. "This transformative redefining serum makes curly hair smooth and straight hair sleek — zero frizz," she said. "It contains organic extracts to nourish the hair and is free of alcohol, parabens, and sodium chloride."
