Bowen Yang with blond hair? My oh my, do we stan. The actor and comedian kicked off the new year by going platinum blond, and we can't help but wonder if this means he'll finally be guest starring in a Californians skit on Saturday Night Live when this season returns. A natural brunette, Yang recently visited Salon87 Brooklyn hairstylist Yu Nakata for the bleach and colour job and debuted his new look on Instagram on Sunday. He's worn his fair share of wigs on SNL through the years — remember that horrid green Oompa Loompa wig he slipped into for a Weekend Update segment last October? — but this is the first time we've seen him dye his hair.

Going blond, both permanently and temporarily, was a popular choice in 2021 for celebrities galore, including Billie Eilish, Ciara, Florence Pugh, and Naomi Osaka, to name just a few who took the plunge. What better person to lead the charge for 2022 than the Titanic-sinking iceberg king himself?
