Ciara's "Bixie" Haircut Is the Edgiest We've Seen Yet

Another day, another Ciara picture to put on our mood boards. The singer and entrepreneur attended Billboard's Women in Music ceremony last night and reminded us once more why her face card will never decline, and to add to the buzz? She got a new haircut.

We've seen Ciara in everything from her now-signature long, honey-blonde waves to deep brunette curls, but this year, she's rocking one of the biggest hair trends for 2022: the bixie. As the name suggests, the bixie haircut "is more or less the lovechild of the two classic styles: the bob and the pixie cut", Karl Warner, artistic director at Pastels Salon Dubai tells POPSUGAR. The cut is "shorter than a bob, longer than a pixie, and with the hair off the neck and midface," April Peele, a hairstylist at Salon SCK in New York City, previously told POPSUGAR. Peele also said that "the bixie offers that sweet spot for clients who want to cut their hair off but aren't ready for the maintenance and commitment of really short hair." Warner echoes this, "It's more wearable than its predecessor, the mixie (a mullet/pixie combination) and looks incredible on anyone with wavy or curly hair." That kind of sounds like our perfect haircut for spring?

Ciara added highlights and slicked back her hair to give it that "wet" look for an edgier spin on the trendy haircut. Take a closer look at her new hair below.
