In all of my years as a beauty editor, I've tested countless glosses and lip oils, with only a few leaving a lasting impression. Most get thrown into the back of my beauty closet, but I find myself reaching for a special few again and again — that's the case with the Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil. I love that it's a nonsticky formula that feels ultra-hydrating on my lips, but the best part has to be that it adapts to the natural colour of my lips. The shade 001 Pink is the perfect light-pink colour, looking fabulous on top of seemingly any lipstick shade and leaving me with a glass-like shine.
How to Use the Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil
The Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil is pretty user-friendly. That's all thanks to the made-to-perfection extra-large doe-foot applicator, which, in my humble opinion, is the elite silhouette for any gloss or oil. After twisting off the cap, simply swipe the product onto your lips — that's it. What's fun about this lip oil is that it can be used as prep while you're doing makeup, worn on its own, or even layered on top of your favourite lipstick.
I've been using it every single day for the last week and have worn it on its own and on top of my go-to pink-nude lipstick. Here, I'm wearing it with lip liner that's slightly darker than my natural lips; this is by far my favourite way to rock the oil.
What to Consider Before Trying the Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil
This isn't your typical drugstore lip gloss or oil that you can pick up for a few bucks. While I understand that $40 is pretty steep, I think it's worth the splurge. After all, it's a designer product we're talking about here. If you're looking to treat yourself, I say go for it.
