Calling all hot sauce lovers: Hipdot Cosmetics is bringing back its famous Tapatío collaboration, but with a twist. The latest partnership comes exactly one year after the two joined forces for the first time in 2020, and this time, the line of all-new makeup products pays tribute to the Day of the Dead.
The limited-edition Hipdot x Tapatío Día De Los Muertos makeup collection features nine products in total bundled together in a collector's box that retails for $72. Everything you need to kick your makeup up a notch is inside the box, including three different shades of loose glitter and even a makeup sponge in the shape of a lime. There's also a set of four liquid lipsticks that look like mini bottles of hot sauce, and the colours are inspired by and named after different traditional elements of the Mexican holiday. There's the shade named "Golletes" for the pink dessert bread that's placed on the altar; "Careta," which is the mask worn by dancers during the celebrations; "Flor De Muerto," for the official flower of the holiday, a marigold; and "La Noche del Duelo," which means "The Night of Mourning," referring to the part of the holiday celebrated on Nov. 1.
Lastly, there's an 11-shade eyeshadow palette packed with neon hues and a mix of glitter and matte finishes. The cover of the palette features Tapatío's logo but with sugar skull face makeup on in honour of the holiday.
The Hipdot x Tapatío Día De Los Muertos set is available for pre-order starting today, October 19, and is expected to ship in mid to late November. Get a closer look at the products ahead.
